For a leading, international service-company, empulse developed the concept for the company’s website. Based on FirstSpirit’s templates and modules, we also engineered the relaunch of the website.

empulse assisted in the establishment of a company-wide intranet system for one of the world’s most renowned automotive companies. We developed the information architecture and specific templates for the intranet—based on Confluence, a wiki software application.

An internationally celebrated company commissioned the empulse team to create custom software for managing its customer, order and delivery data. With this software, incoming/online orders are collected in a database, processed by employees and passed on to central systems. Crucial to the success of this project was the high quality of our software, the clearly-defined user interface and an extremely fast execution time.

For a software company in the tourism industry, we developed an automated travel information service. This combines the hotel, flight, city, regional and country details for any destination. To keep operating costs low, we incorporated the use of licensed information-sources such as Wikipedia. Integrated into the CRS application of the software company is the travel and service information which can be used as a customer relations tool.

On behalf of a logistics company, we developed- on an extremely short deadline- a distribution application that allows the business to collect data and assist the company’s staff with manual order-picking. Despite its many functional upgrades, the application is still running on the originally chosen and exceptionally reliable architecture.

Advanced storage and search technologies now allow employees to quickly find and access comprehensive work documents and databases. The search and access restrictions provide only the most essential and updated search results.

With the goal to make the intranet for a specific German company an interactive network, we developed several widgets including a weather widget and a meeting planner.

As a showcase for the display of moving objects in maps, we developed a solution that is capable of running on both Google Earth and Google Maps. The system shows the tracks of a transit line in Cologne in almost real-time with relevant current location as well as additional information. This solution can be used for the dynamic display of any moving object.

empulse supports the OpenID initiative and presented a prototype of its OpenID-Provider-Services on www.mymobile.ID.com. To identify the user during the registration process, we developed an innovative solution in which authentication is performed with mobile phone and text messaging services. The user’s mobile phone and OpenID are linked which can be used in the secure authorization of sensitive transactions.
